Why is selling meat banned within 13 km of Aero India show venue in Bengaluru?

Aero India airshow will be held at Bengaluru's Yelahanka Air Force Station from February 10-14. BBMP ordered shutting all meat/chicken/fish shops and banned hotels/restaurants from serving non-veg food within a 13 km radius of the station from January 23-February 17. Officials said non-veg food littered in public places may attract scavenger birds like kites, which can cause mid-air accidents.
