Why is Shikhar Dhawan not captaining in PBKS vs RR IPL 2024?

In match 27 of the IPL 2024, it was Sam Curran who took over the reigns from Shikhar Dhawan in Mullanpur. Speaking at the toss, PBKS stand-in skipper Sam Curran confirmed that Dhawan misses out due to a niggle. "Shikhar picked up a niggle, that's why I'm here," Curran said after being invited to bat first by RR.
