Union Budget has been presented on February 1 since 2017 when then-Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, in a historic move, chose to change British-era tradition of presenting it on the last working day of the month. This ensured timely parliamentary approval and smooth implementation from begining of the new Fiscal Year on April 1. This year, it'll be presented on Sunday.
