Why Paralympics was called 'The Stoke Mandeville Games' before?

The first official edition of Paralympic Games was held in 1960 and was known as 'The Stoke Mandeville Games' after the hospital of the same name. Paralympic history began in 1948 at the hospital for war veterans in Stoke Mandeville. Sir Ludwig Guttman had organised sporting events to help his patients, who were World War Two veterans, recover more quickly.
