Why SC ruled owner can claim compensation despite delayed possession of flat?

Supreme Court ruled that homebuyers can seek compensation even after accepting possession of a delayed flat. It said taking possession doesn't end a buyer's status as a consumer for the period of delay. It also held that consumer complaints can't be sent to arbitration only because the agreement contains such a clause and ordered case to be decided on merits.
