March 2024 was the warmest March ever and the 10th warmest month in succession, with the streak beginning in June last year. It was due to a combined effect of El Nino conditions and human caused climate change. The rise in global average temperature is attributed to the rapidly increasing concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
