Why won't the Bangladesh Premier League be held this year?

Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will not be held this year, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Tamim Iqbal said. "BCB is supposed to make a profit from franchise cricket, not a loss," he added, noting BPL won't be held until financial issues are resolved. BCB suffered losses of around $3.3 million (around ₹31.5 crore) from BPL over the past two years.
