Wild elephant crushes man to death near Indo-Bangladesh border

A 60-year-old man, Ohindro Dalu, who went to watch five elephants including two calves rest in a paddy field was chased and trampled to death by an elephant near India-Bangladesh border, police said. The elephants had crossed over to Meghalaya's West Garo Hills from Bangladesh. It's unclear what the trigger was, but one of the elephants charged towards the villagers.
