Will do utmost to ensure wage hikes to protect Japan's economy: PM

Japanese PM Fumio Kishida on Monday said that he will do his "utmost" to ensure wage hikes for workers through tax breaks to protect the country's economy from global inflation. This comes as the country's government submitted a draft supplementary budget worth a record 36 trillion yen (over ₹23 lakh crore) to revive its economy after the coronavirus pandemic.
