Will hand over charge to caretaker govt in August: Pak PM Sharif

Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif said his government will hand over power to the caretaker government in August, paving way for general elections. The caretaker PM is appointed by agreement between the outgoing PM and the leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly. Sharif was sworn-in as PM in April 2022 after Imran Khan was ousted through a no-confidence motion.
