China on Tuesday called US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Taiwan visit "extremely dangerous" and said it will "launch a series of targeted military operations to counter this". Chinese military spokesperson said that the forces have been put on "high alert". This came after Pelosi landed in Taipei and expressed "solidarity" with Taiwan, despite repeated warnings from China.
