Will not allow compulsion of Hindi in Maha: Uddhav Thackeray

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray said his party will not allow making Hindi compulsory in Maharashtra after the state government decided to make Hindi a mandatory third language for students of Classes 1 to 5. However, he clarified that his party doesn't have any aversion to Hindi language. State's three-language policy requires students to learn Marathi, English and Hindi.
