Will quit politics after 2027 election: French President Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron has said he does not plan to remain in politics after leaving office in 2027, when his constitutionally permitted second term as French president ends. "I wasn't involved in politics before [becoming president] and I won't be involved afterwards," Macron told students in Nicosia during a two-day visit to Cyprus. Macron was first elected in 2017.
