Will remove illegal B'deshi hawkers from footpaths: Mumbai mayor

Newly elected Mumbai mayor Ritu Tawde on Wednesday said that illegal Bangladeshi hawkers who have encroached upon the city's footpaths would be identified and removed after verification of documents such as Aadhaar cards. Tawde stated that conducting surprise checks on roads, lanes, hospitals, and schools for actual assessment will be part of her workstyle.
