Will rename all panchayat offices after Mahatma Gandhi: K'taka govt

The Congress-led Karnataka government announced that it would rename all gram panchayat offices after Mahatma Gandhi. CM Siddaramaiah led a protest to Bengaluru's Lok Bhavan to submit a memorandum to Governor Thawarchand Gehlot demanding the repeal of the VB-G RAM G Act and the reinstatement of MGNREGA. "By scrapping MGNREGA, the BJP has killed Mahatma Gandhi once again," he said.
