Will take 'necessary countermeasures' against latest US tariffs: China

China said on Thursday that it will take "necessary countermeasures" against the 10% tariffs imposed on $300 billion Chinese imports by the US from September 1. It added that the tariffs "seriously violated the consensus" between the two countries. Trump, on Tuesday, postponed the tariffs on some Chinese goods till December 15 to avoid impact on shoppers ahead of Christmas.
