Wipro shares rise 8% as firm wins its biggest deal of $1.6bn

Wipro's shares surged as much as 8.5% on Monday after the company said it had bagged an up to $1.6 billion 10-year outsourcing contract from US-based Alight Solutions, its biggest deal till date. Notably, Wipro's larger rival TCS won three multi-year deals worth $5.6 billion since December last year. Wipro recently acquired Alight's India operations for $117 million (₹830 crore).
