Wipro to acquire cloud services firm Appirio for ₹3,340 cr

IT firm Wipro on Thursday said it will acquire US-based cloud services firm Appirio for about ₹3,340 crore in an all-cash transaction. The acquisition will create the world's largest cloud transformation platform, Wipro added. It will also give Wipro access to Topcoder, a crowdsourcing firm with a global community of developers and competitive programmers who develop solutions for customers.
