Wirecard's missing $2.1 bn didn't enter Philippine financial system: Central bank
Philippines' central bank Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said none of the $2.1 billion missing from Germany's payments firm Wirecard AG entered the local financial system. Wirecard stated that it put the money in two Philippines-based banks, BDO and BPI, however, they have denied the claim saying Wirecard wasn't their client. The firm's CEO Markus Braun has resigned with immediate effect.
