WNBA star Griner plays 1st game since being released from Russia

US basketball star Brittney Griner played her first game for Phoenix Mercury in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) since being released from Russia. Griner, who was detained in a Russian penal colony, was released in a high-profile prisoner swap agreement with the US last December. She was arrested in February 2022 in Russia over drug charges.
