Woman, son kidnapped in B'luru; freed after 4 days as they didn't have expected cash

Nine people were arrested for allegedly kidnapping a woman and her 20-year-old son in an extortion bid, physically assaulting them and sexually assaulting the mother in Bengaluru, police said. The accused believed the duo, who apparently sold stolen items, had ₹2 lakh. On realising the duo didn't have the expected money, the accused freed them after four days, police added.
