Woman among 13 people sentenced to prison for fake rape case

In a significant legal verdict, 13 individuals, including a woman who falsely accused a Hescom officer of rape in Belagavi, have been sentenced to three years and six months in prison each. Judge L Vijayalakshmidevi of the Principal District and Sessions Court of Belagavi also imposed a fine of ₹86,000 on each of the accused.
