Woman climbs tower demanding the release of man accused of kidnapping her in UP

A woman climbed a tower in UP's Kanpur demanding the release of a man, jailed on allegations of kidnapping her. She was later persuaded by the police to climb down. "The case was registered by her mother in 2025...Since the young man was currently in jail pursuant...and had been brought to the court...the woman took this drastic step," police said.
