Woman dies of suffocation as fire breaks out in Mumbai building

A 40-year-old woman, identified as Hema Jagwani, died of suffocation after a fire broke out in the Nutan Villa building in Khar West, Mumbai, on Thursday around 7 pm. A 10-year-old girl and a 45-year-old woman were rescued. The blaze was doused after nearly four hours of firefighting efforts, in which eight fire engines and six jetties were deployed.
