Woman dies of trauma 2 yrs after she was kidnapped & gang-raped in Manipur

A woman belonging to the Kuki community died on January 10, over two years after she was kidnapped and gang-raped in Manipur in May 2023 by a few men of Meitei community. She had managed to escape in July 2023. "Though she miraculously survived, she suffered severe physical injuries, deep psychological trauma, and serious uterine complications," informed a tribal group.
