Woman forced to quit on 1st day after maternity, fired as she says her husband has cancer

A woman employee at Ciena India's Gurugram office was forced to resign, citing a business decision, on her first day back from her maternity leave, IT employees' union FITE claimed. She pleaded she couldn't as her husband was battling cancer and refused to resign. She was fired four days later as Ciena locked her laptop and account.
