Woman loses all four limbs after dog's lick causes sepsis in UK
A 52-year-old UK woman, Manjit Sangha, underwent quadruple amputation after a lick from her dog on a small cut or scratch caused sepsis as it allowed bacteria from the animal's saliva to enter her bloodstream, doctors said. Sangha, who was found unconscious last year with her hands and feet ice-cold and her lips purple, spent 32 weeks in hospital.
