Woman Maoist with ₹10 lakh bounty surrenders in Kolkata
Woman Maoist Pushpa Mahato, who was carrying a bounty of ₹10 lakh, surrendered before Kolkata Police. Mahato laid down her arms after 21 years of insurgency, during which she was active in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum and Saranda regions. She was accused in several cases, including the killing of former JMM MP Sunil Mahato and the Burudih landmine blast.
