Kiran Gandhi, a 26-yr-old woman living in London, broke the stigma around menstruation by running a 42-km long marathon on her period, without using a sanitary napkin or a tampon. "I ran with blood dripping down my legs for sisters who don't have access to tampons and sisters who, despite cramping and pain, hide it", she wrote on her blog.
