Woman raped by policeman who invited her for 'women's day event' in Maharashtra

A Police Constable has been arrested in Maharashtra's Beed district for allegedly raping a woman on the pretext of inviting her for a women's day event, officials said. Accused Uddhav Gadkar took the woman to a makeshift police residence, claiming the programme was being held there, before assaulting her. He met the woman when she filed a domestic violence case.
