Woman returning from maternity leave entitled to same post: HC

Delhi High Court has ruled that women returning from maternity leave should be reinstated in the same position they held before leave. The court said that if the position is unavailable for genuine organisational reasons, employers must offer an equivalent role with similar pay, status, and career prospects. It also asked Centre to frame rules on maternity-related workplace issues.
