Woman SSI found dead after night patrol in Namakkal police station

A 48-year-old woman Special Sub-Inspector (SSI), V. Kamatchi, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday while resting at the Belukurichi police station in Namakkal district. Officials suspect a cardiac arrest as the cause of death. According to Namakkal Superintendent of Police S. Rajesh Kannan, Kamatchi had returned to the station around 2 am after completing night patrol duties.
