Woman sues firm for firing her over allergy, claims colleagues weren't asked to avoid onions

US-based company Paycom was sued by US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for not providing "reasonable workplace accommodations". Katie Jorgenson claimed she had a severe onion allergy and was fired a day after her most severe anaphylactic reaction was triggered by the allergy in 2024. The commission said Paycom didn't ask Jorgenson's colleagues to avoid bringing onions to office.
