Woman turns saline land into hydroponic farm, earns ₹15 lakh/acre

A trained biotechnologist, Sona Misra has transformed saline, barren land in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, into a high-tech hydroponic farm. She sells exotic vegetables to wholesalers in National Capital Region (NCR) and her venture earns over ₹15 lakh per acre. From three acres, her turnover is ₹45 lakh with 50% profit margin, proving that non-fertile land can be profitable too.
