Woman with Down syndrome competes in US beauty pageant

Twenty-two-year-old Mikayla Holmgren has become the first woman with Down syndrome to compete in the Miss Minnesota USA Pageant. Holmgren won the Spirit of Miss USA Award and Director's Award and received a standing ovation from the audience. She said, "I'm just really excited, it's out in the world and people are going to know about this."
