Women called 'kya maal hai', but people fume when they ask 'maal hai kya?': Suchitra

Singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi on Sunday tweeted about 'culture of misogyny' amid investigation into alleged drug links in Bollywood. "From normalising women being addressed as #kyamaalhai in the movies, to fuming over a woman asking #MaalHaiKya in real life, our entire culture of misogyny needs a reset," she wrote. "I'm...aghast...no men were named, only the women [were] shamed," she added.
