Women challenge K'taka's menstrual leave policy, call it 'benevolent sexism'
Fifteen women working in senior managerial roles in Bengaluru filed a petition in Karnataka High Court against the state government's mandatory menstrual leave policy, which they called "benevolent sexism". This policy could lead employers to view women as less capable, making them reluctant to hire women, they argued. Earlier, Supreme Court declined to mandate a nationwide menstrual leave policy.
