Women empowerment essential for developed nation: President Murmu

President Droupadi Murmu said that the empowerment of women in social, economic, political and spiritual spheres is important for India to become a developed nation by 2047. President Murmu said the idea of women-led development can be implemented only when women get the freedom to make their choices. She added that economic self-reliance brings greater self-confidence to women.
