Women in Iceland including the PM go on strike for equal pay
Iceland's PM and women across the country went on strike on Tuesday for an end to unequal pay and gender-based violence. PM Katrin Jakobsdottir said she'd stay home as part of the "women’s day off". "We've not yet reached our goals of full gender equality and we're still tackling the gender-based wage gap, which is unacceptable in 2023," Jakobsdottir said.
