Women robbed of gold in Chandigarh by fake fire trick; 5 arrested

Five members of a gang were arrested in Chandigarh for robbing women using a fake ‘supernatural’ fire trick, police said. They first engaged victims in conversation about family issues, then frightened them by spitting sodium on their palm, which ignites on contact with moisture. The women were asked to remove jewellery, place it on ground and leave without looking back.
