Won't acquire land by force for 2nd airport in Kolkata: Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal government would never acquire land by force to build a second airport in Kolkata, CM Mamata Banerjee said. "Should I bulldoze existing houses? Shall I evict people residing in those houses?" she added. This comes after Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the plan to build the airport "was hanging fire" for want of a plot.
