Won't let online gaming industry hijack self-regulatory body: IT Min

IT Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said the government is committed to the growth of online gaming with new rules safeguarding digital citizens. However, it will not allow hijack of the proposed self-regulatory body (SRO) that will operate at arm's length from the industry and have equitable representation by all stakeholders, he added. The SRO's duties will be approved by the government.
