Workers held captive, beaten with whips & made to work 24 hours on one roti in UP factory
Police rescued 12 bonded labourers from a factory in UP's Muzaffarnagar where they were allegedly held captive for nearly 11 months after being lured with promises of ₹10,000-12,000 monthly salaries. The workers said they were forced to work round the clock, fed just one dry roti/day, and beaten with rods and whips for demanding wages or trying to escape.
