World Bank approves ₹6,800 crore loan for Amaravati's development

World Bank has approved an $800 million (about ₹6,800 crore) loan under the Amaravati Integrated Urban Development Program. The project aims to develop the Andhra Pradesh city as a well-managed, climate-resilient economic hub. World Bank said the loan requested by the Indian government has a final maturity period of 29 years, including a grace period of 6 years.
