World Bank cuts India's growth forecast by 40 bps to 6.3% for FY26

The World Bank has lowered India's forecast for the financial year 2025-26 by 40 basis points to 6.3%. "The benefits to private investment from monetary easing and regulatory streamlining are expected to be offset by global economic weakness and policy uncertainty," it said. The World Bank downgraded projections for most countries in South Asia.
