World champ Sindhu enters round 2 of China Open, Nehwal out

Recently crowned women's singles world champion PV Sindhu defeated China's LI Xue Rui 21-18, 21-12 to enter the second round of $1-million China Open. Sindhu took 35 minutes to defeat the world number 19. Earlier, women's world number eight Saina Nehwal lost 10-21, 17-21 to Thailand's Busanan Ongbamrungphan in 44 minutes.
