World champion PV Sindhu reaches women's singles quarter-finals at Tokyo Olympics

Reigning badminton world champion PV Sindhu has reached the quarter-finals of women’s singles event at Tokyo Olympics. She defeated world number 12 Mia Blichfeldt of Denmark in the round of 16 with a scoreline of 21-15, 21-13. The match lasted 41 minutes. Sindhu will next face the winner of the match between Akane Yamaguchi and Gaeun Kim.
