World Economic Forum chief Borge Brende steps down amid criticism over Epstein links

Borge Brende, President and CEO of the World Economic Forum, on Thursday stepped down amid criticism over his alleged links with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The forum had launched an independent investigation into his relationship with Epstein. "My time here, spanning 8-1/2 years, has been profoundly rewarding," Brende, who assumed the presidency of the forum in 2017, said.
