World Gymnastics lifts ban on Russian & Belarusian athletes

World Gymnastics has lifted all restrictions on Russian and Belarusian athletes with immediate effect following a meeting of its executive committee in Egypt. The athletes from both countries were banned from international competition in March 2022 after Russia invaded Ukraine. In 2024, they were allowed to compete as neutrals. They can now compete under their national flags.
