World no. 115 Kanepi beat Sabalenka to reach 1st Aus Open quarters

Estonia's Kaia Kanepi, ranked 115, entered her first Australian Open quarter-final with a 5-7, 6-2, 7-6(10-7) win over world number two Aryna Sabalenka in fourth round on Monday. Overall, it's the 36-year-old's seventh Grand Slam quarter-final but she has never managed to progress beyond the last eight. Kanepi will now face seventh seeded Iga Swiatek, who beat Romania's Sorana Cirstea.
